“Do I have to eat breakfast?” is one of the most frequently asked nutrition questions. The short answer: it depends.
What to eat for breakfast
A breakfast made of fast carbohydrates (white bread, honey, cereal) raises blood sugar quickly and drops it just as fast. The result is trouble concentrating and hunger again within a couple of hours. A good breakfast contains: – Protein (egg, cottage cheese, fish) – Good fats (nuts, avocado, olive oil) – Slow carbohydrates (wholegrain bread, fruit, vegetables)
If you choose not to eat, be consistent about it
Intermittent fasting (an 8–10 hour eating window) suits some people well. But irregular eating — sometimes you eat, sometimes you don't — swings blood sugar and makes appetite harder to control. Our nutrition counsellor will help choose a pattern that fits your lifestyle.
